Password Reset

The Information Technology Support Center offers a secure online tool to reset your password(s) for the following IT-managed accounts:

Password Format

You may choose either to accept a system-generated password or create your own password.

A system-generated password must be eight characters long and consist of at least one letter (upper and/or lower case), one number, and one special character (from a designated list). All system-generated passwords are unique.

If you choose to create your own password, the password needs to be exactly eight characters long and consist of at least one letter (upper and/or lower case), one number, and one special character (from a designated list).

The password will be displayed on your screen and, if you specify, can be sent to your UH email alias. Once submitted, your new password will become active in approximately 10 minutes.

Configuring Your Computer

Prior to entering the website, you will need to configure your browser to ALLOW pop-ups for this site: remedyweb.uh.edu. Failing to allow pop-ups requires that you restart your password reset session. For instructions on configuring your browser, click here.

  • YES, pop-ups are allowed for my browser, BUT it's my first time and I need to register.
  • YES, pop-ups are allowed for my browser, AND I have registered before, so take me to the Password Reset.
  • NO, I need instructions to configure my browser to allow pop-ups.
