    The University of Houston’s Jazz Ensemble joins forces with special guests to honor a visionary group that fused jazz, rock, funk and soul. Houstonians will experience “A Tribute to Tower of Power” at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 30 in UH’s Moores Opera House.

    If anyone knows about how companies are compensating employees, it’s the professionals at PayScale. The online resource – featuring 40 million salary profiles – recently released its 2015 – 2016 College Salary Report, and the University of Houston is among the Texas institutions producing top earners.

UH Remembers September 11

This year will mark the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy that forever changed the lives of many Americans. To pay tribute to those who lost their lives and their surviving loved ones, the University of Houston Student Centers along with UH Veteran Services will host several free public events.

Mitchell Artist Lecture featuring Alicia Hall Moran and Jason Moran

The Center's 2015 speakers are the revered artistic and life partners, Alicia Hall Moran and Jason Moran, whose recent projects have been celebrated internationally in both the visual and performing arts spheres. The Morans will discuss their 20 year partnership, improvisation, composition, race, gender, parenthood, and pain.
