We look forward to welcoming you to the Honors College this spring. The goal of Honors advising and registration is to provide you with useful information about the Honors College and to acquaint you with Honors College faculty and staff. Most importantly, spring Honors Advising and Registration is also where you will be advised and register for classes (including non-Honors courses) at the University of Houston.

Honors Advising for Spring

If you are a transfer student who will attend the University of Houston for the first time in spring 2021, you should plan to attend a New Student Orientation during December or early January to meet and receive advising from the advisors in your major. The Honors College will participate in some, but not all, of the New Student Orientation conferences hosted by the Office of Admissions, so please register for a conference at which both Honors and your academic college are participating. Once you have registered for an Orientation with the Office of Admissions, you will receive additional information from the Honors College regarding the time and place of your Honors advising during your selected conference. If you are unable to register for a conference at which both your academic college and Honors are participating, please register for an Orientation conference at which your academic college is participating, and then contact the Honors College Student Services Office at 713.743.9010 to set an appointment with an Honors advisor.

Current University of Houston students accepted to Honors for spring 2021 should contact the Honors College Student Services Office to set an appointment with an Honors advisor regarding spring course advising and registration. This meeting can take place either before or after your meeting with your advisor in your academic college. Honors advisors will be available to you for spring 2021 advising beginning November 2020, but you can contact the office anytime following your acceptance to Honors to set your appointment.
