Architecture

The rigors of the five-year Bachelor of Architecture program are well known around campus. To mitigate this, Honors Architecture students take their freshman introductory course and both first year studio courses with the Associate Dean of Architecture, Dr. Lannis Kirkland. Dr. Kirkland both sits on the admissions committee for architecture and personally advises all Honors majors each semester.

Several advanced-level courses in architecture are offered each semester as Honors Colloquia, allowing majors to satisfy both a major requirement and an upper-level Honors requirement simultaneously. Honors students who major in architecture also enjoy opportunities to enroll in graduate-level (5000-level) courses as part of their undergraduate work, allowing them to satisfy their requirement of one Honors course each semester without the necessity of petitioning a course for Honors credit.
