The Honors Jump Start ProgramJuly 7 - August 11, 2008 The Honors Jump Start Program is designed to give incoming Honors freshmen a head start on their coursework and introduce them to our Honors community. In order to ease the transition into college life, admitted Honors students are invited to take two core classes as well as participate in other college experiences and social activities. Jump Start classes begin on July 7th and run through August 11th. One of the benefits of this program is the opportunity to take two summer classes for the price of one. The total cost of classes (including fees) is $725. On-campus housing is also available for the 5-week period of the program for $650. Below is a list of the classes The Honors College is offering. To determine if you should take ENGL 1303H, you can refer to the letter of admission that you received from the Honors College. If you would like to participate in the program, go to the on-line registration form here. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the last day to register will be Monday, June 9th . If you have questions, please contact us at 713.743.9010, or email Dr. Stacey Peebles, the Director of the Honors Jump Start Program, at speebles@uh.edu . We hope you'll join us!
