University Career Services (UCS) Assists UH Graduate Students

University Career Services (UCS) recently added a new component designed to assist UH graduate students who are interested in pursuing academic and/or non-academic career opportunities. The services include an extensive Web site, personalized resume and curriculum vita critiques, credential file and portfolio management, career assessments, and mock interviews to simulate those conducted at national conferences and by search committees. These services are designed to complement career development services already available through UCS as well as professional development services available in academic departments.

Graduate students make up more than 22 percent of the total enrollment at the University of Houston and their career planning and job search needs are often unique compared with those of undergraduates. Graduate students may visit the web link for centralized Graduate Student Career Services (www.career.uh.edu) or they may schedule an appointment to see a career counselor for help with their employment goals.
