The Graduate School cultivates and supports academic excellence in graduate and professional education at the University of Houston. The University of Houston is a Carnegie Tier One Research University hosting an array of graduate and professional degrees in the Colleges of Architecture & Design, the Arts, Business, Education, Engineering, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Law, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Optometry, Pharmacy, Technology and the Graduate College of Social Work, as well as the School of Nursing. These colleges and schools offer 102 master's degrees, 46 doctoral degrees, and three professional degrees.
