Parent Education Project

The Mission of the UH Parent Education Project is to enhance the lives of at-risk children and families in the Greater Houston area. Our approaches to this have changed over the 30+ years that we have been in operation.

We are a totally grant-funded Project and we are a part of  the College of Education. Our offices are located in the Student Services Center 1 on campus, but much of our work is done out in the community.

The UH Parent Education Project offers the following service, free of charge, to families in the Greater Houston Area.

  • Families CAN – a parent family support services program that provides support services to 100 plus families a year who are raising a child or a young adult with special health care needs.
