September 11, 2017 Memo from Dean McPherson

Sept. 11, 2017

Message from College of Education Dean Bob McPherson

It’s hard to believe Hurricane Harvey struck more than two weeks ago, but it was a nice change of pace to see so many students, faculty and staff return to campus last week. Thank you for bearing with the traffic and for welcoming each other with continued compassion. I look forward to another strong week as we adjust to the new normal in our resilient city and work to rebuild together.

Students: Please take five minutes to complete this online survey to let us know how you fared during the storm and how the College may be able to help. The information will be shared with the dean’s leadership team. Students who suffered significant damage will be contacted by our Office of Undergraduate or Graduate Studies. If you have an unresolved issue, please email coedean@uh.edu for assistance.

Students, Faculty and Staff: Please note that the American Red Cross has launched a new Immediate Assistance Program that will award $400 to those directly impacted by Harvey. Please also review other key information and resources below. And continue to take care of yourselves and each other.
