DSAES Welcomes New CSI and UC Staff

The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollments services would like to welcome three new staff to the Center for Student Involvement and University Center.

Whitley Denson

Activities Coordinator, Center for Student Involvement

Whitley provides direct support for services that include organization registration, compliance for state-mandated (Texas Legislature House Bill 2639) Risk Management Education, and Get Involved utilization.  Additionally, she provides training for registered student organization (RSO) development programs, and supervises the Commons Desk student staff.

Prior to joining the Center for Student Involvement team, Whitley worked in the psychiatric healthcare field as a clinical administrator at National Smart Healthcare Services. In her previous role, she worked in a dual capacity to support both the Quality Control and Human Resources departments.  She has also served as an advisor to various committees of the Missouri State University Student Activities Council, and the Homecoming Committee. Whitley earned a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Missouri State University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in business administration from Texas A&M University.

Donielle Miller

Assistant Director, Center for Student Involvement

Donielle will be working with Whitley Denson to provide resources and services to registered student organizations. She previously served as the assistant director for student activities at Sam Houston State University, where she oversaw student programming, student organization advising, and multicultural affairs. Prior to that appointment, she was a program coordinator in the department. Donielle is excited about the opportunity to serve the University of Houston student body.

Renee Cleare

Office Coordinator, University Center

Renee is responsible for overseeing the daily routine of the UC Administrative Services and Operations to ensure that the office and department operates in an efficient and orderly manner. She will also provide assistance with preparing and executing all UC departmental activities and programs, which include submitting and tracking work orders, creating vouchers for invoice payments, and providing notary public services for the UH community.

Before joining the UC administrative team, Renee worked as a development and membership coordinator at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Renee looks forward to meeting and working with students, and also expanding her knowledge of UH pride and traditions.
