October is careers in student affairs month
Question: "What do Student Affairs proffesionals do?"
Answer: "We change lives for a living."
October is National Careers in Student Affairs Month and the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services has organized a few resources and events to introduce students to the field of student affairs and to continue to encourage and support those already interested in the field. This month offers an opportunity to invest in the future of the profession and to cultivate the next generation of educators, who will help challenge and change the world of higher education. Staff are encouraged to reach out to those students they believe might thrive in the field of student affairs and invite them to participate in any of the following events. Remember that students are encouraged to participate in these programs, even if they are not interested in pursuing a direct route into a graduate program in student affairs. Please also note that these events will provide staff with opportunities to mentor undergraduates. Browse the links to the left for more about the wonderful world of student affairs.
