Vice President's Message
Whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, or returning student, we are extremely excited that you are part of the UH community and I want you to know the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services is dedicated to your success. The Student Affairs and Enrollment Services team is committed to providing a dynamic array of quality leadership and engagement opportunities as well as support services for the diverse student population at UH. We are dedicated to supporting the academic mission of the institution by enriching the overall student experience.
The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services is devoted to a continuous improvement process which will include regularly assessing our programs and services to make certain we offer the quality and quantity that keeps pace with our ever-evolving dynamic student body. During the academic year you may be asked to provide feedback to help us get better; please take the time to give us your input. The data we gather will help us make informed decisions regarding how we can best support and ensure your success. Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs - UH System
Associate Vice President for Student Affairs - University of Houston
Dan became a member of the UH community in January 2012. Prior to moving to Houston, he served as the Director of the Campus Center at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of building of inclusive communities as a way to support student success. Click here to read more about Dan.
Edward Davis II
Director of Advancement
Eddie began working for the University in August 2013. His primary role for the Division is to solicit major gifts to support the various programs and departments that focus on providing an impactful experience for students. Eddie also manages all annual fund, corporate and foundation activity as a liason between University Advancement and the Division. Read more about Eddie here.
Director of Assessment and Planning
Pam officially joined the Division in July 2013. She coordinates assessment activities, the strategic plan, partnerships with Institutional Research, department/program reviews, and contributions to the President’s Progress Card. Additionally, she assists in the accreditation process, advises the Division’s Assessment Committee, and manages annual reporting. Read more about Pam here.
Marketing and Communications Manager
De’Awn joined the Division in April 2012. She is responsible for marketing the programs and services of the departments and programs within the Division, in addition to implementing campus-wide communications for students. She also coordinates the content and distribution of CoogNews, the weekly student eblast. She previously worked for the Beaumont Enterprise, Lamar State College-Orange, and Fleishman-Hillard, a public relations and integrated marketing agency. De'Awn received her master of business administration from UH's Bauer College of Business.
Executive Administrative Assistant
Kristin joined the Student Affairs team in July 2012. She is primarily responsible for managing Dr. Walker's schedule, assisting with event and meeting coordination, processing invoices, among other duties. She previously worked in the Center for Public History for five years. She is a proud UH alumna, having received her B.A. from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.
Patricia has worked in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs for the past five years. Patricia provides direct assistance to the Associate Vice Chancellor/Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director of Advancement, the Director of Assessment and Planning and the Communications Manager. She is responsible for managing the AVC/AVP's schedule, providing administrative and clerical support, assisting with meeting coordination, and other duties.
