The Mayor Declared December 11, 2012 : ”Houston History Day” in recognition of the magazine’s ten years of publication, emphasizing the important role it has played in presenting original research on Houston’s past and the undertold stories of the city’s diverse communities.

The mayor and the council members all received a copy of the latest issue of Houston History, “UH Celebrates 85 Years: The Road to Tier One.”
