Politicians roast Bill Hobby for his 83rd Birthday, Chronicle, 1/26/15

-----

Join us for the Bill Hobby Birthday Roast and Toast

to his celebrate his 83rd birthday and
honor his many years of public service.

Wednesday, January 21, 2015, 6:30–9:00 p.m.
River Oaks Country Club

It will be a lively evening of roasting and toasting former Lieutenant Governor
Hobby by our “Ornery-ary” Chairs, Joe Jamail, Herb Kelleher and
Senator Rodney Ellis.

Due to the generosity of an underwriter, 100% of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the University of Houston Hobby Center for Public Policy and the initiative for a new Hobby School of Public Affairs.

Befitting its namesake, the Hobby School’s mission is to prepare new policy leaders, researchers and professionals with the tools to analyze data effectively and with intellectual honesty.  The Hobby School will objectively examine the mass of data in various walks of life—whether found within politics, energy, health care, the economy and other areas—and will report its findings clearly and concisely and make it available to a wide audience.
