Houston History's Spring Magazine Launch Party and Panel Discussion


Join us Tuesday, June 12, 2018 for Houston History's Spring Magazine Launch Party and Panel Discussion at Talento Bilingue de Houston, from 5:30-7:30pm! The Spring issue, "Latinos in Houston: Trabajando para la comunidad y familia" includes feature articles on Club Mexico Bello, Yolanda Black Navarro, Gracie Saenz, the Bracero Program, and Hispanic Women in Leadership.

The launch party for the newest issue, "Latinos in Houston" includes a catered reception and a panel discussion on Latino empowerment and contributions to our community.

We are excited to feature a panel discussion with Dr. Dorothy Caram (retired educator and UH Administrator), Gracie Saenz (lawyer and former Mayor Pro Tem), and Christian Navarrow (lawyer and owner of Villa Arcos). The panel will begin promptly at 6:15pm. 

The Houston History magazine is published by the Center for Public History at the University of Houston, is the voice of history and culture throughout the Houston area. It aims to provide Houstonians with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Houston’s history. The articles published will seek to educate and entertain while exploring important aspects of Houston’s history and culture.
