TSHA 2015

The 2015 Annual Convention of the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association was held in San Antonio, Texas. The students and faculty of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Houston actively participated in the 2015 TSHA Convention. Over 60 of our students attended TSHA, and they received a trophy for their participation in the Legislative Day. UH alums and students also participated in the TSHA Tailgate.

ChungHwa Brewer was awarded the Houston Association for Communication Disorders (HACD) Scholarship Endowment Fund – Established in 1997 to support a graduate student at the University of Houston or Lamar University.

Karindy Orr was awarded the Sara Haynes Endowed Scholarship Fund – Established in 2001, this scholarship is intended for a full-time student in an accredited speech-language pathology program in the state of Texas who demonstrates specific interest in and commitment to clinical interventions with adults with neurogenic disorders.
