Marcus Sammer

Postdoctoral Fellow, CBL

Marcus Sammer is a software engineer in the Computational Biomedicine Lab at the University of Houston who focuses on the full lifecycle of academic research projects from writing grant proposals to coding applications and writing research papers. Academic software inspires him because he can see a new concept taken to reality within a few months. He has a passion for the creative process and finds satisfaction in suffering over seemingly impossible problems. Outside of the office, Marcus enjoys traveling with his family, cooking, and listening to political and legal podcasts. He is thrilled to be around to participate in the AI revolution that he dreamed of, but never thought would be a reality during his lifetime.
