Krista Steinke is a lens-based artist whose work explores the human-environment relationship. Her works are represented in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Woodmere Museum in Philadelphia, the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Johnson & Johnson Corporation and Fidelity Investments. Awards include a Pennsylvania Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, a grant from the Puffin Foundation, an Artist Residency at Light Work, a Promise Award from the Sustainable Arts Foundation and a recent Howard Foundation Fellowship in Photography. Her photographs have been featured in Square Magazine, Lenscratch, The Photo Review, Feature Shoot, Contact Sheet, EXIT, The Literary Review, Monthly Photography, Le Journal de la Photographie and the Oxford American.
