On Screen @ Blaffer: Jodie Mack

Thursday, April 24, 2014 7 pm - 9 pm

From funky montages of textile scraps to unconventional waveforms to abstract cut-outs and autobiographical excursions, experimental animator Jodie Mack has become a source of new energy and oddball humor on the independent film scene in recent years. Her work combines the delicate feel of handicraft with the drama and propulsion of big-time cinema. Challenging and yet accessible to all, Mack’s films leave audiences giddy and reeling, l ike coming down from a runner’s high.
