Charles Lloyd and the Marvels

NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd returns to Da Camera’s jazz series. In this unique formation of the Marvels, Lloyd pairs bassist Reuben Rogers and Houston native drummer Kendrick Scott with the great guitarist Bill Frisell. The mood is celebratory, with Lloyd displaying his knack for threading complex, dynamic musical ideas into the most elemental and open-hearted of riffs and melodies.
