Written by George Bernard Shaw Directed by guest artist James Bohnen In Shaw's witty classic, topics including predatory women, motherhood, politics, moral progress, American millionaires, the rise of labor and man's coming dependence on the automobile are viewed as Shaw saw them. John Tanner, an opinionated, progressive and independent male, tries frantically to escape marrying wily Ann Whitefield, whose guardian he is. But despite his best efforts, Tanner finally submits to the inevitability of Shaw's "Life Force" as personified in Ann.
