Advising and Registration for Transfers (ART) is a required one-day program for all new transfer and Post-Baccalaureate students.
One week prior to their conference date, students will receive a confirmation email with logistic information, including their specific assigned arrival time for Check-In. Check-In occurs in the morning and is mandatory for all participants. Students should be prepared to arrive on campus at approximately 7:45 am. (UH does arrival in waves and will assign you a specific arrival time.)
Because of the nature of the program, it is not appropriate for anyone except parents/guardians or spouses to attend as a guest. Friends or siblings are not allowed to accompany students. The exception would be an older sibling who is acting in a guardian capacity; however, in this case, the sibling would attend Family Member Orientation and would not be with the student during any time parents and students are not ordinarily together.
Students should be prepared to remain on campus until 3 pm in order to complete the advisement and registration process. Attendance for the entire time is mandatory in order to complete the ART requirement. Not completing the process will prevent you from registering for and attending courses.
|7:45 - 8:45 am||Check-In, Day One: Students must attend Check-In or could be prevented from registering for courses. Students will also be able to access Department and Organizations Resource tables and take various tours of campus and campus facilities.|
