New Student Conferences are designed to help you transition into the social, cultural and academic aspects of the University. We partner with family members during this exciting time in your life to assist them in understanding the experience you are embarking upon. Entering a new community of scholars can be stressful, and we're excited to connect you with resources that will aid you in your success at the University of Houston.
Fees are non-refundable. All fees will be added to your fee bill in your myUH self-service account. Any changes to your reservations must be done through email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Family members and guests are welcome at all conferences and, if attending, will follow a separate schedule of events. Please note that family members attending with a Freshman will only attend the second day of programming and will follow a separate schedule of events.

There are two types of New Student Conferences:
- If you are an incoming Freshman or a Transfer student with 29 or fewer hours (making you a freshman by academic level), you will be attending a New Student Orientation (NSO) conference. Please click Freshman for additional information.
- If you are an incoming Transfer student with more than 30 hours of transfer credit, you will be attending an Advising and Registration for Transfers (ART) conference. Please click Transfer for additional information.
