Overview
The Certified Financial Planner Certification Education Program is a comprehensive program designed to provide the technical and professional skills essential for effective personal financial planning. Our outstanding group of faculty are experienced professionals in their respective fields with many years of experience in diverse areas of personal financial planning. The University of Houston program is one of the largest financial planning programs registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board.
Why Should You Participate?
- These courses are registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board and constitute an approved course of study.

Group 1 License Holders (15 Hours of Credit per Course)
Two courses in the Continuing Education's Certified Financial Planner Certification Education Program are approved by the Texas Department of Insurance for Continuing Education Credit for Licensed Insurance Agents and/or Adjusters.

University of Houston does not certify individuals to use the CFP, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, and certification marks. CFP certification is granted only by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to those persons who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination requirements.
