Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) Program

The B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences provides students with educational experiences and training in the pharmaceutical and related health sciences. The pharmaceutical sciences include medicinal chemistry pharmaceutics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacy administration, and health outcomes.

The program will provide students the opportunity to develop capabilities in the following areas:

  • Science: Comprehension of scientific methods and principles, analysis of information and laboratory data, and their use in the discovery of knowledge.
  • Mathematics: Utilization of mathematical principles to analyze physical, biological,a nd socioeconomic phenomena.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and listen effectively.
  • Development of logical and analytical reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.

General Requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Students are required to meet the general requirements for a baccalaureate degree, including completion of university core curriculum requirements. See the Academic Regulations and Degree Requirements section of this catalog for details.
