Downloads and Help

The downloads provide access to all content on the 3rd edition CD-ROM without using a CD drive.

Download Macintosh CD software (compatible with Macintosh OS X; upgraded for Macintosh OS Lion, 10.7)

Download Windows CD software (Setting compatibility mode to Windows 95 may be necessary with some systems. Please see below.)

• Download and decompress the zip file.
• The enclosed "MusicET" folder can be placed in any convenient location on your hard drive.
• Click on the "MusicET" icon inside the folder to run the application.

 
Updated instructions for Windows users:

The CD software will run properly in normal system mode on some Windows machines, but not others. Setting compatibility mode to Windows 95 has solved the problem in all known cases.

If you receive an error message when you try to launch the application, log into Windows as an administrator and follow these steps:

1. Double-click on "My Computer."
2. Right-click on the your CD-ROM drive icon ("MusicET") and select "Open" from the menu that appears.
3. Right-click on the "MusicET" application file and select "Properties."
4. Click on the "Compatibility" tab.
5. Place a checkmark in the check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for."
6. Select "Windows 95" in the pull-down menu.
7. Place a checkmark in the checkbox for "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."
8. Place a checkmark in the checkbox for "Run this program as an administrator."
9. Click on the "Apply" button.
10. Click on the "Okay" button.
11. Double-click on the "MusicET" application file again.
